We use an individualized case management process for each client. This allows us to attend to our client’s individual needs within the context of an excellent, holistically delivered treatment program.

We offer one to one counseling sessions, in conjunction with small group processing and many other evidence based therapies to attend to the individual needs of our clients.

We are not a typical 12 step program. Although we see great value in attendance at 12 step meetings and offer a minimum of one 12 step meeting every day, we are not a 12 step program and are not limited by this approach to primary treatment.

We are small enough in numbers (18 clients maximum) to allow for an ideal therapeutic community atmosphere to take place, yet large enough to employ an excellent multidisciplinary team of highly trained addictions experts.

Our location is unmatched, Period. We are 600 deeded acres, surrounded by crown land, with multiple levels of Topography, within the Rocky Mountain Trench of South Eastern British Columbia Canada. This beauty, which is particularly important in early recovery, helps to allow our clients to achieve presence of mind, peace within their hearts and souls and an appreciation of “what is” and is very fertile ground for personal growth. We offer a phenomenal place to breath, decompress, learn, get in touch, relieve anxiety, and to promote healthy life style choices etc.

Our facilities are top notch, as a former high end guest ranch, and to help complete our natural beauty, we offer first rate accommodations. Each guest has their own bedroom in a two room cabin or two room lodge suites. To be clear, you will share a bath with one other and you will have your own private bedroom.

Activities: Between our deeded land and the thousands of acres of crown (national forest) land that surrounds us, we have lakes with canoes, mountain bikes, many trails to hike, serene places to contemplate, and nature at its finest here on the ranch. As well we have world class golf, skiing, fishing, rafting, kayaking, mountain trail hiking, etc within a short distance of the ranch.

We are easy to get to. One plane change from most larger urban areas and a direct flight from Calgary Alberta, Vancouver BC, and Salt Lake City Utah.

Our success rate, our continuing care, our family program our TLP. Our success rate speaks for itself; our continuing care is designed to offer the highest potential for long term meaningful recovery. When every client departs they will have 2 pre-arranged relapse prevention, continuing care sessions that are included in their cost of treatment with one of our continuing care network associates. This is in addition to their relationship with our staff and the pre-arranged relapse prevention/life skills sessions with our own Gorski trained, Continuing Care Coordinator. This method will allow for a seamless transition from primary treatment to their continuing care/relapse prevention plan. Our Family program is facilitated by our highly trained counseling staff with the specific goal of helping our client’s families to gain understanding and promote healing from within the families, individually and as a unit. Our Transitional Living Program speaks for itself (see home page) as well and is the most productive of its kind.

We are affordable for many persons to attend. Although not inexpensive, we offer an exceptional treatment experience. For our clients from Canada we sometimes have to explain why we charge as much as we do, for our clients from the US we sometimes have to explain why we charge as little as we do. To put it simply, we charge what we have to, to offer what we do and to be what we are. For all of us at Top of the World this is a labor of Love.

Our Integrity: It is vital for the ranch and our staff to live with full integrity. We must have this integrity as our guiding conscious within our center and our within own souls so that we can offer the same to our clients.

Most important of all, our staff. Many good centers have many good people working at them. I challenge you to find a group with the education, experience, compassion, and talents of our staff, particularly for anywhere near the cost of attendance. We have always known the number one most important part of our centre is our staff. We have succeeded in putting together what we believe to be is the best staff, along with the positive energy that comes from it, that exists in any treatment centre any where at any price.
