Job Description; Clinical Director
Summary
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this position is responsible for providing assistance in all clinical aspects of substance programming for Top of the World Ranch Treatment Centre. This position assists in development, implementation and review of programs that address substance abuse issues for the clients and performs direct services to clientele enrolled in our programs. These services include but are not limited to: Case management, documentation, assessments, individual and/or family counseling, facilitation of therapy groups, and psycho-educational programs. This position is responsible to provide leadership and supervision of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Knowledge skills and abilities
- Expert knowledge of addiction and specific attention to characteristics and behaviors of both individual and groups.
- Expert knowledge in the treatment of PTSD and trauma.
- Ability to lead a diverse team of clinicians
- Knowledge of modern addiction treatment services and programs.
- Working knowledge of the DSM IV.
- Ability to maintain a harmonious working relationship with various agencies, as well as departmental personnel.
- Ability to facilitate groups and individual treatment for adults.
- Ability to work therapeutically with individual clients and their families
- Ability to conduct clinical assessments and write clear and concise reports.
